Murphy is new open source component for making and enforcing complex policy decisions. Murphy is designed to handle multiple policy domains such as audio, video and UI. An example for complex multi-domain policy decision is to stop video playback on the front seat display when the car is moving, while video playbacks should continue on the backseat.

Murphy is destined for embeded systems, where the interaction capabilities are limited, yet quick response is expected to certain events. A good examples for the embedded systems where Murphy can be used are mobile phones, vehicle infotainment systems and smart televisions.

In this first public presentation about Murphy Janos Kovacs will share the concepts and details of the component which is already in use in Tizen IVI stack.
